After the death of his father, young Dorjee realises what it means to be Tibetan in his own country: he has to choose between a new life outside his homeland and the ongoing freedom struggle in Tibet.

The film is based on late Jamphel Yeshi who self-immolated in protest against human right violations in Tibet.
